Guido's Orchestra will perform an evening concert
Sunday, November 7th, 2010
Wortham Center - the Cullen Performing Arts Centre.
Guido has a dream. He wants to conquer the world with his European musicians and the orchestra’s special brand of crossover pop and classical music. Here in the U.S., one of the first steps has been the national PBS TV appearances and promotions in 2009. Recently, they signed a record deal for the US and they are hoping for a major breakthrough in this country. And the U.S. can become a gateway to other continents, such as Asia and Australia!
This year Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands had a memorable meeting. On a hill top in Vaals, at the geographical 3-country location, Guido built a huge stage and with his wife, young soprano Wendy, gave a very successful performance for an audience of 7.000 from all 3 countries! This concert special is going to be broadcast in 11 countries next year!
The show opened with Ludwig van Beethoven while children of the three nations brought their national banners to the stage. This wonderfully modern pop orchestra consists of musicians from 9 different European countries. Amazingly, the average age of the orchestra musicians is only 27 years! The language used in this orchestra is the universal language of music, which unites one heart to another. In the past few years they were honored to work with some of the world's great musicians like Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Andrea Bocelli, Tony Braxton and Elvis Costello.
In Houston Guido's Orchestra will perform an evening concert on Sunday, November 7th, 2010 in the Wortham theatre, the Cullen Performing Arts Centre. Guido’s Orchestra believes that musical education is very important for children and will therefore collaborate in Houston with a local High School Choir! In the November Show, this choir will perform 4 pieces together with Guido’s Orchestra.
It is also important for them to receive outstanding TV ratings and help gather support for Houston PBS (Concert tickets and CD/DVD donations). The better these result, the more broadcasts the orchestra will receive in June, August and September.
And we want them back here, for repeat performances!
All your support and word-of-mouth promotion for Guido’s Orchestra are helpful and deeply appreciated. Please visit the web site of the TV show that took place in the heart of Europe - there where Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands meet!
